About The Key Awards
The Key Awards is a red-carpet event that highlights the significant impact of mentorship in our communities. Organized by Project PIVOT in collaboration with NYC Public Schools (NYCPS) and various community-based organizations, the awards recognize mentors and mentees who have made noteworthy strides in their personal and professional lives.
Event Highlights
The awards show featured entertainment, pre-show activities, and a VIP room for awardees. Special guests, including NYCPS Chancellor David C. Banks, delivered inspiring words of congratulations. The ceremony honored 67 mentors and their mentees from 24 schools, recognizing mentors from community-based organizations, corporate partners, and NYCPS educators dedicated to investing their time and wisdom in our youth. Students who have thrived through this invaluable support were
also recognized.
Recognizing Excellence
Raquel Harris was honored for her exemplary work with the boxing and entrepreneurship program at Baychester Middle School. This program empowers young students through physical activity and business skills, fostering personal growth and academic success.
