Marcos Toribio is Ring of Hope's youngest and most promising trainer. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in NYC, he connects with the youth through his age, background, and city experiences. Marcos began training at Mendez Boxing in Harlem to find focus and quickly developed a passion for the sport, training alongside fighters and studying tapes. He started helping at Mendez, assisting newcomers and helping them feel comfortable, which led to him being discovered by Ring of Hope and securing his first position as a trainer, where he has increased engagement in our schools and volunteered beyond his role to advance our mission. Since joining Ring of Hope, Marcos has modeled for SONY and has cornered our first youth fighter, Edson Rodriguez, enhancing their experience in the ring.
